Craftsman Elk Skin - Saddle Tan
Craftsman Elk Skin - Saddle Tan. Sizes range from 15 - 20 square feet of 3 - 4oz (1.2 - 1.6mm). Sold by the square foot, we WILL cut.
Very good quality, full grain Elk Skins that might have some holes (mostly around the edges), and since these animals roam free in the wild, there will be some moderate surface defects; like insect damage, scratches, possibly some drag marks, and perhaps a little discoloration. For the most part, these skins are perfectly usable for larger projects, and the backs are pretty nice, too. This is an incredible bargain, especially since we’ll CUT it for you!!!
Throughout history Elk has been a staple in America, whether it be for food, shelter, or even tools and utensils. And Elk leather is truly an American classic. Native Americans used Elk for making clothing, armor, shields, artwork, and other necessities. Elk leather combines strength with a luscious suppleness and is very well known for its dexterous nature, and luxurious feel. Unlike some cow leathers, Elk Skin doesn’t tend to stiffen or crack with age, and products made from this leather usually retain their shapes. Incredibly durable and versatile, Elk Skin will hold up to pretty much whatever you can dish out!
Great for lightweight moccasins and chaps, work gloves, all sorts of bags, fringe, home decor items such as pillows and throws, Native American craft and beading projects, and many other craft applications.

Love this leather!
I bought a four inch by 60 inch piece to try as a strap for one of my gasses. Wow! Cant even feel the bass hanging there. This stuff is amazingly soft and supple, shapes perfectly to your shoulder. Not expensive, but great quality
