HO Drum Dyed Veg - Smooth Black
Completely vegetable tanned and drum dyed, these sides have the superior quality and all the properties that we have come to expect from the Hermann Oak Tannery! The best part is that most of the work is done for you! All you’ll need to do is give it an edge and you’re good to go! In addition to being struck through, these sides feature a smooth grain, which lends to a truly professional, finished look. Plus, they're stampable, *toolable, moldable, and burnishable! (*Carving with a swivel knife might be difficult, so you will have to play with the moisture content a little more than usual for tooling.) Excellent for tactical gear, holster & sheath makers, belt makers, and would also make superb saddle bags, cases, collars, etc.
Since 1881, Hermann Oak has been tanning top-grain leather right here in Missouri. St. Louis-based, the company prides itself on its slow and careful tanning process. An outstanding, generations old process that produces the finest strap and tooling leather in the world. For over a century, The Hermann Oak name has been synonymous with high quality, and like a fine wine, they only get better with age!
Also available in Brown #HOAK09.
