While lace is ideal for braided work, the lightweight flexibility coupled with superb strength make kangaroo leather quite useful for many other projects. Think shoes, wallets, lightweight jackets, hats and gloves. Of course, you could always use a skin to make your own lace for whips, belts and horse gear!

Wonderful leather! Thin but very strong incredibly versatile!

A client/friend of mine actually was the one that bought it from you folks at Springfield Leather. It was on my recommendation although I had never worked with kangaroo leather before. It is surprisingly versatile and wonderful to work with! This color in particular ochre has a nice rustic look to it. However, with its’ unique characteristics it also has a decent level of “class“. It skives beautifully and burnishes well. It’s quite thin and yet VERY STRONG! I’ve used it not only to make a bifold wallet custom-made for the same customer/friend. And he absolutely loves it and it will most likely last him for a decade or more. G
