Nile Crocodile Crust

Sold By: Skin - We do not cut
Animal: Nile Crocodile
Finish: Unfinished/Crust
Average Width 5" - 7" (widest point)
Average Length: 18" - 22" (to tip of tail)

These small crusts have been belly-cut, so along with some side/belly portions, you'll get that nice, distinct horn-back that'll never go out of style. They also have a bit of suppleness to them, especially when compared to other Croc, so they're quite easy to work with and would be perfect for making clutches, wallets, money clips, and other small personal leather goods and accessories. If you're not sure what "crust" means, it's a term used to describe leather that has been tanned and dried...and that's it as far as processing goes. Since crusts are left naked; un-dyed and un-finished, they absorb dyes incredibly easy and allow you to finish them any way you'd like, allowing you to put your own unique spin on your projects! If you haven't tried our Orion Dyes, Waxes, and Pastes yet, this would be a great reason to do so! You'll love letting your imagination go wild with all the custom color and finish combinations you can create, just like Clayton does in this video Here!

I was excited to get a couple of these skins and try my hand at "luxury" leather crafting. Unfortunately with these you can only use around 5% of the actual skin, the center and main part of the skin is too hard to cut through and it's near impossible to get a clean cut with it due to how stretchy it is in some parts and how hard it is in other parts. I'm glad the skins are only 30$ cause I don't see myself being able to utilize the large majority of this skin

Great practice for the big boys made watch bands and small wallets.
Hope they can keep this supply going.
