Our Top Grade Tooling Sides are what most companies would call their #1's or premium...clean, white, and pretty doggone nice! These sides tool and finish very well. Available in 2-3 oz., 3-4 oz., 4-5 oz., and 5-6 oz. Sides average 27-32 sf. (*Note: 2-3 oz. has a very soft hand and average 19-20 sf.). Sold by the square foot. Item # 133-72156.

Came absurdly clean, even up to the edges it's useable most places, beautifully pale and fresh. did seem a tad stiffer, but even making complex sculptures it's no issue.

Seems ok, mine came with quite a few holes and 2 greasy hand prints. Not really worth the extra for the "top grade" on my cut as the medium grade I ordered had far less flaws.

Tools well

Leather cracked when I got to the sewing process. I was really surprised at how much it cracked when folded even after being wet. A little discouraging since I’ve always had great pieces of oil tan leather so I’m giving 4 stars in case something in my dyeing caused the issue but as it cracked deep down into the leather I have to assume it was the leather.
