A+ Bookbinding Leather

If you're looking for affordable veg tan for bookbinding projects, this stuff is AMAZING. Minimal stretch, nice and soft, easy to pare/skive, and glues down beautifully on turn ins (the true test of a bookbinding leather). Who needs pig, goat, or kangaroo when this stuff is such a joy to work with?
Great quality

I was very happy with the quality of this leather. My order was almost blemish free. No bug bites or scars etc.
Too Many Bug Bites

I ordered this in 3-4 oz twice and was really pleased with it, so I ordered this 2-3 oz for wallets. Springfield does mention that it has less pebble grain than the other weights and it is much less pebble, not quite as nice. It still has a nice feel though. It looked ok at first glance, but once I started trying to cut out pieces I had a hard time finding spots that were not covered in bug bites! I did my best to cut out clean pieces, but after I dyed it even more bites manifested themselves! I assume that all the weights probably have these blemishes but the pebble grain covers them up, but could be wrong.
